  • Are there graduates of Curionesty Learning Community? What is the pathway for your child?

    1. Graduate Issues
The Curionesty Learning Community was established in September 2016 and students graduate from the community as adults. The first batch of graduates graduated in July 2020, and the current six graduates are graduating in the direction of journalism, professional cartoonists, domestic 2+2 study programs, and further study abroad.
    2.Pathways
We are open to the possibilities of our children’s future, helping them to identify their direction and preparing them for their decision.
    (1) Further Study
    For students who wish to pursue higher education, we encourage them to enter higher education institutions by taking domestic and international exams, and we provide some assistance in preparing for study abroad, such as regular lectures by the “I Want to Study Abroad” group;
    (2) Employment
We provide internships in related fields for children who are ready to work, and recommend outstanding students to organizations that match their qualifications.
    (3) Entrepreneurship
The community encourages students to start earning their first pot of money by offering courses such as Lean Startup. The community also serves as an incubator for projects, and can invest in good projects as an “investor”.
    (4) Gap Year
When students reach the age of 18 and are unable to define their own ideas for the time being, they can apply to the Learning Community for a gap year to explore and realize themselves through social practice and public service. The Learning Community will provide partial financial support for a detailed and comprehensive program.

  • Can I have a trial run?

We highly recommend that students and their families get to know Curionesty School by trying out and attending short-term programs such as winter and summer camps. Tryouts of two weeks or more are recommended and are a two-way street.

  • Does Curionesty Learning Community have any requirements for children?

We are accepting of all children, but the community has limited capacity to care for children with physical disabilities, mental retardation, severe depression, anxiety, suicidal, self-injurious, or violent tendencies.

  • What kind of families choose Curionesty Schools?

At present, there are two main categories:

One category is students who cannot adapt to institutional education and experience a loss of interest in learning, difficulties in interpersonal relationships, and in severe cases, physical symptoms accompanied by anxiety and depression.

The other category is that parents do not recognize the current institutional education, very much recognize the Curionesty School concept, and hope that their children will learn and grow in a more relaxed, free and diversified growth environment.

  • Jiang YuePing

Chengdu Curionesty School graduate Li Qianwei was recently accepted to Steve Jobs’ alma mater, Reed College (Philosophy Program), one of the most prestigious Liberal Arts Colleges in the United States, which has produced 32 Rhodes Scholars, over 50 Fulbright Scholars, and two MacArthur Fellows. I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of her essays, the beauty of her writing, and the sincerity with which she confronted herself and her life.

  • Yang DongPing

The Curionesty School in Chengdu attracts many students with various endowments who are not well received in regular schools, giving them a brand new learning environment, turning “school masters” into “play masters”, and allowing students to learn and grow in a happy way through games.
